A proud moment for every Indian on celebrating its 74th Independence Day on 15th August 2020. Independence day is not less than a festival for every Indian. On this auspicious day, our honourable Prime Minister unfurls India’s flag on the Red Fort. The words from the Ref fort are about achievements of India in the past year and on coming goals.

We feel much delightful by remembering the fight and sacrifices of our great Indian leaders in the past. I am finding short of words while remembering the efforts of our heroes in India’s freedom movement. Let us make this Independence Day more memorable by singing our National Anthem “Jan Gana Mana”.

Mahatma Gandhi, Dr BR Ambedkar, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandra Shekhar Azada, Bhagat Singh and many more are India’s freedom movement fighters. Their endless endeavour had set our country free from the rule of Britishers on 15th August 1947. We pay our salute to them.

Seeing our national flag hoisted on Red Fort makes my arms have goosebumps. Our national flag has tricolour of saffron, white and green. The saffron colour denotes courage and sacrifice. The white colour denotes purity. And the green colour denotes life. The wheel in the centre of the flag represents chakra which appears on the Ashoka’s pillar. The chakra denotes life in movement.

I feel honoured to be called an Indian. Independence for me is speaking fearlessly and working with passion.
